National Hot Dog Day
In honor of it being national hot dog day…
The trifecta of NY dogs. Natural casing hot dogs (only way to fly).
Kraut and deli mustard.
Hot dog chili (canned), cheese, and diced onions.
“Dirty Water Dog” Pushcart Onion Sauce: Small red onion quartered and sliced thin. Sauté and salt the onion, add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, and a tablespoon of ketchup or tomato paste. Stir to combine, and cook to reduce the sauce a bit. Take off the heat.
